With the beginning of the new year comes new goals, big aspirations, and a desire for change. This is your reminder that you are enough as you are. There is no need for you to take on a "new year, new me" mentality.
With that being said, the new year can be a great opportunity for fresh beginnings. I love a concrete starting point and a clean slate. So if you are like me in that sense, I want to make sure you have some guidance as you set your new year intentions so you can be successful.
Start small and be realistic with what you can accomplish. If you focus on trying to do 6 things at one time, you will probably fail by February. Write out a handful of goals that you have for 2025. Then from that list, pick 1-2 focuses for January and stick to only those. It takes 28-90 days for a new habit to become more automatic. So once you reach those 1-2 focuses, start to habit stack by adding another 1-2 more focuses until those feel like second nature. Continue to add and repeat, taking goals from your initial list and plugging them into the entire year. And by the end of the year, you will have hopefully completed nearly your whole list of goals and habits!
A few tips while you are habit stacking are to keep it simple, be consistent, have accountability systems, and trust the process.
Happy habit stacking!
